Apple Isn’t Done Yet: 5 New Products We Could Still See in 2026

Apple’s big September event is already behind us, ushering in a new era for the company. It was not only John Ternus’ first presentation as Apple’s new CEO, but also heralded the introduction of the long-awaited foldable iPhone: the iPhone Duo.
However, just because that event is now in the past, it doesn’t mean Apple is done for the year.
In fact, some of Apple’s most interesting products could be just a few weeks away. Recent reports suggest the company has several more products that it still plans to launch before the year is over. Some are much-needed upgrades, while others are interesting new products that we can’t wait to try out.
Apple often releases additional hardware in October, so seeing another event wouldn’t be particularly surprising. So get ready, because these products might still show up in 2026.
Apple’s First MacBook With a Touchscreen
Apple has spent years insisting that touching your Mac’s display isn’t the best way to use a computer. But if the latest reports are correct, the company is finally ready to change its mind.
Apple is reportedly testing redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with touch-enabled OLED displays. That may sound unlike Apple, but so did the Apple Pencil back in the day. Plus, there are plenty of reputable leakers saying this is true.
For instance, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently included these new MacBooks among the products Apple plans to release later this year, making a launch before the end of December increasingly possible. Previous reports had placed their release sometime between late this year and early next year, so a small delay is still possible. Even so, these MacBooks are closer than you might think.
The touchscreen would easily be the biggest new feature, but Apple isn’t simply taking the existing MacBook Pro and replacing its display. The new models are expected to receive a substantial redesign that makes the whole laptop thinner, which is something the company has been doing with all its products recently. Apple is also reportedly replacing the current display notch with something resembling the Dynamic Island found on the iPhone.
Interestingly, the latest reports suggest these MacBooks won’t use M6 Pro and M6 Max chips. Instead, Apple is expected to equip them with M5 Pro and M5 Max processors, separating them from the standard MacBook Pro models we already know.
Pricing is still anyone’s guess. These are expected to sit above Apple’s regular MacBook Pro models, so don’t expect them to be cheap. There have even been rumors they could create a new fourth “MacBook Ultra” laptop tier, but we’d take that name with a healthy dose of salt.
Whatever Apple calls them, this could be one of the biggest changes to the MacBook Pro in years.
A New 14-Inch MacBook Pro
If you don’t care about touching your MacBook’s display, Apple hasn’t forgotten about you.
Rumor has it that the company is expected to update its entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip, making it incredibly fast and powerful. Unfortunately, if you’re looking for more than that, you’re out of luck, as it seems the design will stay the same.
Still, the chip alone might make this new Mac a worthy upgrade. Apple’s newest chip generation is being manufactured using an advanced 2-nanometer process. Moving to a smaller manufacturing process can allow Apple to increase performance while also improving efficiency, which should help the MacBook Pro deliver better performance without sacrificing battery life. Still, we’d love to get a brand new design one of these years. Maybe 2027 is our time.
For now, we’re expecting this MacBook to drop around the October event that Apple might have.
The iMac Is Getting Another Upgrade (But Don’t Get Too Excited)
The iMac hasn’t received an update since Apple introduced the M4 model in October 2024. Fortunately, it appears that the waiting is almost over.
Apple is reportedly preparing an updated 24-inch iMac with the M6 chip. Mark Gurman has said that this computer is close to launch, with an announcement expected before the end of the year.
Unfortunately, that’s where the good news stops. Rumor has it that this new iMac won’t have any groundbreaking changes, so don’t expect a major redesign this time around.
The new iMac should continue using the same incredibly thin 24-inch design Apple has offered for the last few generations. If you’ve been waiting for Apple to bring back a larger 27-inch iMac, it doesn’t seem like this will happen any time soon.
Likewise, the display itself isn’t expected to receive a significant upgrade. Apple is reportedly working on an OLED iMac, but current rumors suggest that model is still several years away.
Instead, the M6 chip will be the biggest change. That should give the new iMac better performance and improved efficiency, while also keeping Apple’s desktop in line with its latest generation of silicon.
So if you’re still rocking an old iMac, you might have the chance to upgrade this year — but it’ll basically be like having the same computer with a faster chip and a fresh coat of paint.
The HomePod Mini 2 Should Finally Arrive
It’s almost hard to believe how old the HomePod mini is at this point. Apple introduced the original model back in 2020. Although the company has released new colors since then, the core product is still the same. Luckily, that might change soon.
Rumor has it that the second-generation HomePod mini is on the way. While the outside might remain the same, the inside will be far more powerful and capable.
Apple is expected to give the new model a considerably faster chip, with rumors claiming we might see an S9-class processor or something newer. This change seems like a no-brainer, as the extra processing power should let the HomePod mini support Apple’s newer Siri AI features.
Apple is also expected to include its N1 wireless networking chip that would improve how the speaker communicates with other Apple devices, as well as allow Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Additionally, a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip is also a possibility, making features like Handoff way faster.
On the outside, the HomePod mini shouldn’t change at all. However, we will see new colors. We don’t know exactly which colors Apple will bring, but we have heard rumors of a new red color. Besides that, we expect to see some new versions of the blue, orange, and yellow colors the current HomePod mini already comes in.
A Much More Powerful Apple TV 4K
The Apple TV 4K is another product Apple has kind of forgotten about for almost four years now.
The current third-generation model arrived in 2022 with an A15 Bionic chip, which, sure, is still plenty of power for streaming video, but not enough for today’s standards. Luckily, fans of the Apple TV should rejoice, as we might be closer to an upgrade than we expect.
Recent reports found in Apple’s own software suggest the next Apple TV could use an A19 or A19 Pro chip. If accurate, that would be an enormous jump from the A15 inside the current model.
The newer processor should give Apple enough performance for Siri AI and other Apple Intelligence features. Reports also suggest the next Apple TV could have at least 8GB of RAM, compared with 4GB in the current version.
A new Siri Remote also appears to be on the way. Unfortunately, we don’t know all the details, so we aren’t sure how big of a change the remote will be in terms of design or what new features might bring to the table. So we’ll have to wait until we see the actual product.
There have also been rumors about Apple eventually adding a built-in FaceTime camera to the Apple TV; however, we might not see this in the upcoming product.
As for the release date, so many rumors speculated that we would see the new Apple TV box during Apple’s September event, which, of course, didn’t happen. However, we might still see it during the October event near the end of the year.
Apple Isn’t Finished Yet
While the new iPhone 18 Pro models and the iPhone Duo are certainly interesting, Apple still has a couple of products that might surprise us. Whether it’s a new MacBook with a touchscreen or an improved Apple TV, we couldn’t be more excited to see just one more thing from Apple this year.
Of course, all of this is still rumors and speculation, so take them with a grain of salt. The good news is that if Apple does have an October event, we’re bound to find out pretty soon.
