[Update: Apple’s product event is now rumored to take place on March 23rd, rather than March 16th, although no official word has been noted. Here’s what to expect.]

Apple fans may want to mark their calendars for March 16th. According to the Korean website Economic Daily News, the Cupertino company is planning a virtual press event to take the wraps off of a handful of new devices.

On tap for an unveiling are a handful of new products, including new iPad Pro models, Apple’s rumored AirTags and more.

Based on the information it mined on Twitter, Economic Daily News claims Apple is preparing to host an online event on March 16th.

This timing coincides with the company’s previous spring press events, which were typically held in mid-to late-March.

Last year, for example, Apple announced its 2020 lineup of iPad Pro models on March 18th.

iPad Pro and Mini

Apple is expected to unveil new iPad Pro models with a mini-LED display and possibly 5G connectivity.

We may also see a new magnetic charging and accessories system that is similar to the iPhone 12.

Another possibility for this press event is a new iPad mini. The new iPad mini may have the same form factor but with smaller bezels and a larger display.

AirTags

Last but not least, Apple may introduce its new AirTags location trackers. Much like Tile, the AirTags could be attached to easy-to-lose devices and be used to locate them when they are lost.

Not only can you find missing devices, but Apple may also build a community system that lets anyone in the area find a device that has been tagged as missing.
