Leaker Claims Apple’s Upcoming iPhone 16 to be Available in New Color-Infused Green

Leaker “Fixed Focus Digital,” has claimed on the Chinese social media site Weibo that Apple will offer the iPhone 16 and possibly the iPhone 16 Pro in a color-infused green option. This leaker has previously said that there would be green, plus white and purple options.
Previous leaks have revealed several possible color options for the iPhone 16 Pro, which, if true, will see the device available only in variations of Space Black, White, Gray, and Rose. However, the leaker also said that Apple was planning to use the same color-infusing technique it used on the iPhone 15 for the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro models.
The translation of the Weibo post varies depending on which service you use, but here’s the Google Translate version of the original Chinese post:

The leaker claims to have seen a sample of the color. Rather than just a Pantone-style book sample, it appears that the leaker has possibly seen the result of a color-infusing test or a prototype iPhone 16 Pro.
“Fixed Focus Digital” describes the resulting color as “good looking” and “beautiful.” The green hue is said to be different from the Alpine Green color option Apple added to the iPhone 13 Pro in early 2022 or the “green” used for the iPhone 13.
The new color is likely different due to the various processes being used, much like the two green colors in the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro lineup were different because they were made from different materials.
It should be noted that “Fixed Focus Digital” does not have an established track record when it comes to rumors like this. Most recently, the leaker has said Apple has dropped its plans for the “iPhone Fold” and that the iPhone 16 Pro will use the tetraprism lens that was previously a Pro Max-only feature.
“Fixed Focus Digital” earlier this month claimed Apple’s upcoming larger 6.7-inch iPhone 16 Plus model will be available in the following seven colors: blue, pink, yellow, green, black, white, and purple. The leaker only mentioned the model name, so at this point, we’re not certain if the leaker was saying the color options are to be an iPhone 16 Plus exclusive or whether the colors will be available for the entire iPhone 16 lineup.
As is traditional for “leaks” like this, since the leaker has an unproven track record and we have a long hot summer to go between now and September when Apple unveils its iPhone 16 lineup, keep a grain or two of your favorite salt-free seasoning at hand.
