Verizon subscribers with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have been complaining about serious LTE connectivity issues, though it’s unclear whether the flaw is Apple or Verizon’s fault.

Users are noting that LTE connection cuts out regularly, forcing them to use 3G or 1X or restart their iPhones constantly. Calls have also been dropped when VoLTE is in use. In some cases, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices have lost connection entirely.

Dozens of the complaints have surfaced on Reddit, MacRumors, and Apple Support communities, according to MacRumors. It’s possible that the problem may not be confined to Verizon, as some AT&T users have also voiced similar gripes, but it appears that the connectivity issues have arisen exclusively in the latest iPhone models.

So far, no clear fix has been found. Verizon has reportedly switched out SIM cards, advised users to restart their phones or temporarily put their phones in Airplane Mode, and even swapped out defective devices, but the fixes have only been temporary, suggesting that there is an underlying software issue.

The issue becomes worse when customers are moving between towers, a problem that the new iOS 10.0.2 patch has not addressed. Verizon and Apple have stated that they are working together to resolve the issue, though they have not established a timeframe.

In other news, BMW drivers have also experienced trouble connecting their iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices to their cars and have reported losing Bluetooth audio playback on their devices. BMW has issued a statement in response saying that the iPhone 7 “is not an approved device for our vehicles until testing has completed,” according to Apple Insider. There is no word on whether BMW has reached out to or is working with Apple on the technical glitch.
