There’s been a lot of speculation surrounding Apple’s upcoming iPhone 13, but one of the biggest questions people have is if it will actually be worth buying or not.

From everything that we know about the iPhone 13, depending on your current model, there might not be many new features that would make it worth upgrading to.

Not only that, but some people say they won’t buy the iPhone because they either don’t like the number 13 or are straight-up afraid of it — which is known as triskaidekaphobia. This fact among others would make some believe that the iPhone 13 won’t get much love..

But the people have spoken. And in a recent survey by SellCell, it turns out that a whopping 44% of iPhone users are planning to upgrade to the iPhone 13 this year.

Over 3,000 iPhone users from the U.S. participated in this survey, and it shows that people are most excited about a feature that’s only been a rumor so far.

What People Want in the iPhone 13

SellCell asked iPhone users which features they’re most excited about. And even though there are many features they’re looking forward to, like a bigger battery and a smaller notch, the most exciting feature people are expecting is a 120Hz refresh rate on the iPhone’s display.

Although this feature has been rumored for quite a while, there are no strong indications that we will see a higher refresh rate or that it’ll come with ProMotion.

Another feature people are most excited about is in-display Touch ID, which isn’t coming to the iPhone 13 either (at least according to the rumors).

Other iPhone 13 features people expect include an always-on display, a bigger battery, and a faster processor. All of which have been rumored in the past.

Which iPhone 13 Will Be Most Popular?

In the survey, iPhone users were also asked which model they’re planning to get. Rumor has it that Apple continue the same strategy as with the iPhone 12, and it’ll release an iPhone 13 mini, a regular iPhone 13, and two iPhone 13 Pro models.

The standard 6.1-inch iPhone 13 is the model of choice for 38.2% of potential buyers, followed by the 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max (30.8%), the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro (24%), and the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 Mini (7%).

Unfortunately for iPhone mini lovers, only 7% of people plan to buy this iPhone. The same thing happened to the current iPhone 12 mini, which resulted in lower than expected sales.

According to the rumors, Apple is planning to ditch the mini iPhone next year, so if you’re a fan of smaller iPhones, this might be your last chance to get one.

SellCell also asked iPhone users if they were excited about the upcoming Apple Watch Series 7 and third-generation AirPods, which are supposedly coming later this year as well. However, people apparently aren’t that interested in these products.

According to the survey, only 27.3% of people will consider getting the new Apple Watch Series 7, and just 12.9% will consider buying the new AirPods 3.

Even though Apple hasn’t announced anything yet, we’re expecting to see the new iPhone 13 this September. The iPhone 13 lineup will feature a similar design to the iPhone 12, with a bigger camera bump on the back, a smaller notch, and will almost definitely have a new “A15” chip.
