Reviews for the iPhone 12 Pro Max praised the oversized iPhone for its stunning display. Even the display experts at DisplayMate agree, awarding the iPhone 12 Pro Max with both its “Best Smartphone Display Award” and its highest-ever display performance grade of A+.
DisplayMate said the iPhone 12 Pro Max has “many major and important state-of-the-art display performance enhancements” that enables the phone to set several display performance records.
The latest Apple smartphone has an outstanding high peak brightness, a high contrast ratio, low reflectance, and color accuracy.
The display also is 10 percent more power-efficient than the iPhone 11 Pro Max, which was equally praised for its performance when it debuted last year.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max is Apple’s largest iPhone the company has ever made. It has an enormous 6.7-inch display with a 2778 x 1284 Retina resolution. Other specs that contribute to its impressive performance include a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, maximum brightness of 800 nits (1,200 nits for HDR), and support for the P3 wide color gamut.
Apple is now selling the iPhone 12 Pro Max in its retail stores and online. Pricing starts at $1,099 for the base model, which ships with 128GB storage space, the A14 Bionic processor, and 5G connectivity.
