How to Get the iPhone 12 Pro Max at a Significant Discount

You can order the iPhone 12 Pro Max from Apple’s website or visit an Apple retail store. Apple is not discounting the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which starts at $1,099 for the base 128GB model. You can purchase the iPhone using your wireless plan and take advantage of the carrier discounts noted below. Apple also accepts trade-ins, though, which will lower the final price you will pay for the phone. One of the highest-priced trade-ins is the iPhone 11 Pro Max, which can net you up to $500 towards your new phone.

Best Buy

Best Buy is selling the iPhone 12 Pro Max through AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint/T-Mobile. Though you may not get the carrier trade-in or BOGO deals, Best Buy is offering its own discounts based on whether you upgrade a line or open a new line or account.  

Verizon or Sprint customers who upgrade will pay $1,099 for the base 64GB model. Customers can pay for the phone outright or choose a payment plan of $45.83 a month for 24 months. Sprint customers who open a new line or a new account can save $100 and pay only $43.74 monthly for 24 months or $999 in a one-time payment.

AT&T customers get an automatic discount of $100 under two conditions. Customers will save $100 if they choose to buy the phone outright with a single payment of $999. Customers can also save by signing up for a new line or a new account with an installment plan. These new installment customers will pay $33.33 for 30 months.

Upgrading with an installment plan is the highest payment option for AT&T. Those customers who upgrade and choose an installment plan will pay the full price for the device with a $36.67 monthly installment plan that spreads the payment over 30 months.

Target

Target also is selling the iPhone 12 Pro Max, but the retailer only is selling the iPhone through AT&T. You can take advantage of AT&T’s trade-in offer that’ll take $700 off the price of the phone with a trade-in and eligible wireless plan.

AT&T

AT&T has a promotion that slashes up to $700 off the iPhone 12 Pro Max with a trade-in. To receive this discount, customers must sign up for an unlimited plan. They also must purchase the device with a 30-month payment plan to receive the monthly credit. The trade-in iPhone also needs to be a newer model in excellent condition to receive the maximum trade-in amount.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile customers can save hundreds of dollars on the iPhone 12 Max Pro with an eligible trade-in and a new phone line with a monthly payment plan. T-Mobile offers up to $950 off iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone XS Max in good condition. The wireless carrier also is giving up to $830 for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone 8, and the iPhone 8 Plus. Older phones and less expensive phones like the iPhone SE 2020 will receive $530 or less on their trade-in.

Verizon

Verizon offers a BOGO deal, which gives you a free iPhone 12 Pro Max if you buy one on a new line with a monthly payment plan. This discount uses a monthly credit for one line to make it free and requires you to keep the payment plans on the two lines active for 24 months. You can also trade-in a phone and receive up to $440 off the iPhone Pro Max. This could lower the smartphone’s cost to as little as $22 per month for 24 months.
