It’s a big weekend for Apple TV as it prepares to celebrate the Miami Grand Prix — the first Formula 1 race being held on its home turf since signing the landmark deal to become the exclusive home of all things F1 in the US.

Earlier this week, Apple shared the full details on its newsroom to ensure fans know what to expect — and when and how to tune in to the action.

Anticipation builds as the 2026 season resumes and the battle for the podium reaches a pivotal weekend in Miami. With strategies shifting across the grid, teams arrive in the U.S. ready to reshape the title fight and redefine the season’s trajectory.

Apple

While Apple’s F1 deal somewhat sadly remains US-exclusive for now, Apple TV subscribers in the United States can watch the Practice, Sprint, Sprint Qualifying, and Qualifying sessions before the big race on Sunday — and it’s all included in the standard Apple TV subscription at no extra charge.

F1 on Apple TV is available on all the platforms that can run Apple’s TV app, from the iPhone, iPad, and Mac to a plethora of popular smart TVs, streaming devices, and even game consoles. In the unlikely event none of your devices support this, you can also watch from any modern browser by signing in at tv.apple.com.

Miami Grand Prix coverage will feature English and Spanish commentary and access to up to 30 additional live feeds across all sessions, including Driver Tracker for a bird’s-eye view of the race, session timing and data feeds, a mixed onboard feed that automatically switches between cameras as the race unfolds, and a Podium feed that dynamically follows the drivers running in P1, P2, and P3 throughout.

An Expanded F1 Experience

However, there’s also a lot more F1 action going on this weekend than just the races. Apple is pulling out all the stops to promote Formula 1 across its entire ecosystem and beyond, from the immersive Apple Maps experience we reported on last week to exclusive playlists in Apple Music and even IMAX screenings around the country.

Apple TV itself is debuting new original programming, including Circuits in Focus, featuring 2016 F1 World Champion Nico Rosberg and content creator, record-breaking car builder, and driver Emelia Hartford, who will provide track-level previews before each race, which kicked off yesterday with the first episode covering the Miami International Autodrome. The duo will bring fans into the driver’s seat using EA SPORTS F1 25, the official video game of the FIA Formula One World Championship.

A second series, The POV will offer post-race coverage featuring former Red Bull Racing senior technician Calum Nicholas and content creator and engineer Christina Roki. They’ll provide insights from their technical expertise to recap key moments from each weekend, from “decisive overtakes to strategy calls and unexpected turning points.”

Apple is also featuring plenty of Formula 1 content in Apple News, along with exclusive playlists and DJ mixes on Apple Music, including a new, exclusive Miami-centric DJ mix from Panamanian artist Dímelo Flow, who will also be making an appearance at Apple Aventura today for a live in-store DJ set.

That’s just some of the action at Apple Aventura, which has been taken over by Apple TV today to celebrate the Miami Grand Prix with stadium seating and oversized screens where fans can watch Practice and Sprint Qualifying sessions. In addition to Flow’s DJ set, Apple is also hosting an Apple Books talk with Formula 1 trailblazer Susie Wolff about her new memoir, Driven.

For those who can’t make it to Miami in person, Apple is also hosting F1 on Apple TV Live in IMAX, providing screenings of all the sessions at more than 50 theaters across the US, plus a live NYC race day screening in Times Square.

Lastly, Apple has partnered with Tubi for original live altcasts to complement the F1 on Apple TV. These will kick off with the Miami Grand Prix, but continue through the rest of the season, featuring a mix of race insights, real-time driver tracking, and onboard footage.
