Apple on Monday seeded the fourth beta version of both iOS 10.3.2 and macOS Sierra 10.12.5 to registered developers.

Cupertino typically doesn’t include a lot of detail in its beta release notes, so it’s not entirely clear what specific bug fixes, improvements or features were included in either of today’s updates. Additionally, the vagueness of the notes makes it hard to nail down any updates this early in a beta version release — that is, until developers are able to test out the operating systems and report on noticeable fixes and improvements.

iOS 10.3.2 Beta 4

iOS 10.3.2 is an incremental update expected to include mostly under-the-hood bug fixes and performance improvements. Since beta 1 was released in late March, no major features have been discovered by testers. iOS 10.3.2 does follow iOS 10.3, which itself was a major update that included Find My AirPods, some CarPlay improvements, a switch to a new Apple File System (APFS), and an overhaul of App Store reviews.

macOS Sierra 10.12.5 Beta 4

macOS Sierra 10.12.5 also seems to be an incremental, under-the-hood update. The release notes are similarly vague, only stating that it “improves the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac.” The previous macOS update, 10.12.4, included some major additions like Night Shift for the Mac, as well as some expanded iCloud Analytics options and new PDFKit APIs.

Both the iOS and macOS updates are understandably minor in scope, as they are being released ahead of Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in June. It’s widely expected that Cupertino will unveil both iOS 11 and macOS 10.13 at WWDC this year.

Registered Apple developers can currently download the beta 4 versions of both iOS 10.3.2 and macOS Sierra 10.12.5 via the Apple Developer portal, or as an over-the-air update (provided that the proper configuration profile is installed).
