In very recent news, there have been reports indicating that Apple’s newest operating system, iOS 9, is being publicly tested. Marketing analysts have started discovering versions of iOS 9 on web analytic as early as October, meaning Apple has been ahead of the game for their operating system updates.

Apple usually updates its platform for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch once a year, so the likelihood of iOS 9 launching in 2015 is very high. The launch to the public should coincide along the next generation of iPhones in September.

Potential features of iOS 9 are to include proper parental controls; in other words being able to go into settings an set detailed restrictions on music and film categories that can be played, apps that can be used, and websites that can be visited. There have also been reports of having multi-user accounts, including enabling different preferences, bookmarks, and apps that are separate from someone else who regularly uses the device. There has also been talk of Group FaceTime calls, FaceTime video messages, and split-screen multitasking.

If Apple follows its past patterns, then it will likely reveal this at WWDC 2015 at the Moscone Center in June. Hopefully we will be hearing more about this in the coming months as the conference comes closer.
