The iPhone 13 may see some key improvements, including up to 1TB of storage in some models and possibly a LiDAR scanner across the entire lineup.

This latest rumor comes from a report to investors by Wedbush analysts. Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives cites the Asian supply chain for his prediction.

From a spec perspective, we have increased confidence that iPhone 13 will have a 1 terabyte storage option which is double from the highest Pro storage capacity today (512GB) and will also include a number of enhancements with Lidar across all iPhone 13 models.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumors that Apple would up the iPhone’s storage to 1TB. Earlier this year, known Apple leaker Jon Prosser said Apple would double the storage option in iPhone.

Currently, the iPhone 12 ships with 512GB at the top tier.

Ives also believes Apple will expand the LiDAR scanner to all iPhone 13 models, not just the Pro and Pro Max models, as it does with the iPhone 12 series.

Other improvements may include a new camera, a faster A-series processor, and more robust 5G connectivity. On the outside, the design will likely stay the same as the iPhone 12.

As Apple has done in the past, Ives expects the company to hold a September event to unveil its new iPhone 13 models.
