Get Ready for 7+ New Apple Products Still Coming in 2022

Apple recently launched a bunch of new products to get excited about including a new iPhone SE, Mac Studio, and the first-ever Apple Silicon iPad Air. Still, according to many rumors, we were expecting a lot of other products that just didn't happen. Fortunately, that means Apple still has a few surprises for us this year, and we couldn't be more excited about them. There are a lot of products that Apple might still have hidden up its sleeves – that is if the rumors are correct. Keep reading to find out every Apple product that's still supposedly coming out in 2022.
An All-New New MacBook Air
One of the products we were almost sure Apple would release during its March event was the new MacBook Air, which unfortunately didn't happen.
This new MacBook Air is said to be a big upgrade. Not only will Apple get rid of the typical wedge shape and feature a flatter design, but it'll also come with a more powerful Apple Silicon chip. Apple might introduce the M2 chip alongside this new MacBook, but we aren't exactly sure about that.
The new MacBook Air will also come in different colors, much like the 2021 iMac, but the display bezels and the keyboard are going to be white for all models.
And speaking of bezels, the new MacBook Air will probably have thinner bezels and a larger display, and it might even feature a mini-LED display.
There are also rumors that the new MacBook Air might feature more ports, but we aren't expecting to see USB-A or SD card slots like the 16-inch MacBook Pros.
We aren't sure as to when Apple might release this new MacBook Air, but it's possible that the company might release it by the end of the year as it did with the current model.
The iPhone 14 Lineup
This is pretty much a given at this point, but Apple still has to release the iPhone 14 lineup in 2022 – and sadly, Apple is said to get rid of the iPhone mini this year. The iPhone 12 and 13 mini haven't been the best sellers over the last couple of years, so Apple's planning on removing the model from the iPhone 14 lineup.
Instead, the company will feature two "small" 6.1-inch iPhones and two larger 6.7-inch iPhone models – basically, both sizes will have a regular model and a Pro model to match.
Not only that but there are a lot of rumors that Apple might finally get rid of the notch this year too. Instead, the iPhone 14 Pro might feature a hole-punch camera and another cutout for Face ID. Some of the crazier rumors say that Apple might introduce in-display Touch ID, but it's possible that we won't see that this year.
Other than that, we expect the usual: A faster A16 Bionic chip, many camera improvements, and a release date somewhere around September of 2022.
A New Mac mini Might Be Coming Soon
The Mac mini has been another Mac that is supposedly getting an update soon. Not only that, but a lot of rumors were expecting Apple to release the new Mac mini last year. But I guess 2022 is more possible at this point.
There are a lot of rumors about the Mac mini, including that Apple might make it sleeker and smaller this time around. Something that we know it's possible since someone managed to make the current Mac mini 78% smaller already. There's also the possibility that the new Mac mini will come in different colors too, which would add a nice touch to your home or office.
As for the inside, the new Mac mini may come in two different versions. There are rumors that the Mac mini will come with the rumored M2 and M2 Pro chips, which would make the smallest Mac one of the most powerful. But if that isn't the case, we might expect Apple to use the M1 Pro and even the M1 Max chips on the tiny Mac.
There are two possibilities for the Mac mini's release. First, Apple might launch the new product during the 2022 WWDC, or we might see this new Mac somewhere along the last quarter of the year.
Don't Forget About the Apple Watch Series 8
Just like the iPhone, the Apple Watch now gets yearly refreshes, and 2022 should be no exception. This year, we should expect Apple to release a new Apple Watch alongside the iPhone.
Many rumors point out new health features for the Apple Watch. The likeliest new features include a sensor that will detect your temperature and a sensor that'll help you with sleep apnea too. There are also rumors about a possible car crash-detection feature that might make its way into the Series 8.
Other more crazy rumors say the next Apple Watch might feature blood glucose and blood pressure sensors, which would truly take the Apple Watch to the next level. Still, you might want to take it with a grain of salt until we see the actual product.
Just like the iPhone, we're expecting the Apple Watch to release sometime in September.
AirPods Pro 2 Might Finally Appear
It's been a long time coming, but the AirPods Pro are soon due for an upgrade. With the AirPods 3, the AirPods Pro is starting to fall behind.
Fortunately, Apple might already be working on the next-generation AirPods Pro as we speak. The new AirPods Pro 2 might come with a completely new design. Apple might get rid of the short stems at the button of the AirPods and feature a design that's similar to Google's and Samsung's earbuds. Not only that, but the case might also come in a different, sleeker design.
We're also expecting Apple to improve the AirPods Pro sound quality and battery life. There are also rumors that Apple might feature a brand new chip on the AirPods Pro that'll open the door for many new features in the future.
The Long-Awaited Apple AR/VR Headset
Apple might be working on a new headset, and we can't wait to see it. This new headset will be powerful, expensive, and it might still come out this year.
A lot of rumors point out that Apple's working on a virtual and augmented reality headset that's said to come out this year. But if you want it, you better start saving up some money since rumor has it this new headset will cost around $3,000.
Why is it going to be that expensive? Well, this new headset it's going to be a premium product with its own reality operating system, also known as rOS, its own App Store, and it might feature a high-end display for the user's eyes.
What's more, you might be able to control the headset with its touch controls, hand gestures, or use voice activation.
There are rumors that the new Apple Headset will be ready for the end of the year. But if Apple faces some manufacturing problems, it might get delayed until next year. Fingers crossed.
The Most Powerful Mac Pro Yet
Right at the end of the Mac Studio presentation, Apple teased us with a new Mac Pro. The company didn't say anything, but they knew that we know Apple's working on a new Mac Pro.
This will be the first Apple Silicon Mac Pro in existence, and it's said to feature both the M1 Ultra chip on the higher-end model. However, it's also possible that Apple might use an M2 chip if it ends up being faster than the M1 Ultra.
And just like the current Mac Pro, we're expecting the new machine to be modular. That is, you'll be able to upgrade it for yourself without extra help. We don't have a specific release date for the Mac Pro, but we're expecting Apple to launch it sometime in December, just like it did with the last two Mac Pros.
