The redesigned M2 MacBook Air is one of the most anticipated Apple products this year. Almost everything about it has been leaked – we showed you the CAD files, made renders, etc. As I’ve told you countless times, these laptops have been ready for a couple of weeks now. According to my sources, Apple and its partners started the mass production in the second week of January. But not everything is good news.

Some people related to the matter who wish to remain anonymous suggest Apple no longer plans to launch this redesigned MacBook Air in June. Instead, the Cupertino-based company wants to wait until September (at the earliest) to launch it. As far as I’m concerned, this is a mere marketing-based decision.

I asked my sources what they thought could be behind this, and some suggest Apple simply doesn’t want to launch too many Macs at once.

The Worldwide Developers Conference is currently set to occur during the first week of June, as usual. Apple plans to unveil a new 13-inch MacBook Pro, the Mac Pro, a substitute for the Pro Display XDR, and possibly a redesigned Mac mini. That’s a lot of Macs, and considering that we haven’t seen a single hardware launch during the last two Worldwide Developers Conferences, it makes sense that Apple doesn’t want to launch that many devices at this event.

There is a big Mac event planned at some point in September or October, and it seems like Apple plans to launch the M2 MacBook Air, among others, on that date – and it wouldn’t surprise me if Apple decided to save other devices like the Mac mini for later this year.

I’ll have more details about this soon. Stay tuned. Let me know in the comments below what you think about this. I hope you found this article helpful. As always, have a fantastic day.
