The Apple online store shut down yesterday morning ahead of their “Spring Forward” event. Users that visited the page were greeted by a simple message stating “We’re busy updating the Apple Store for you and will be back soon.” Just two hours after the start of the event, the store was back online with several new offerings.
Obviously, the biggest addition to the store is the brand-new Apple Watch. Although users aren’t able to pre-order the wearable until April 10, users can play around with different watch looks and settings as well as see how much each version will cost them.
The Watch, however, wasn’t the only addition to the store. Apple unveiled the new ultra-thin, 2lb MacBook at the event and in the online store yesterday, as well. Featuring increased battery lift and the new a new “USB-C” port (used for charging, data transfer, and video output), the impressively small and lightweight MacBook will ship from the online store on April 10.
Finally, Apple added the updated MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models to the store, as well. The new 13” MacBook Pro features improved battery life and Intel Core processors, as well as the Force Touch trackpad, which detects how much pressure you are exerting with each touch. The updated 11” and 13” MacBook Air features improved processors and smaller, faster graphics GPUs. The latest MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models are available for shipping as of yesterday afternoon.
