Apple released the 5th beta version of iOS 8.2 to developers yesterday, centering mainly on bug fixes and minor improvements.

iOS 8.2, the next iteration of the operation system for Apple’s mobile devices, will focus mainly on the introduction of the Apple Watch. The watch, which is said to be scheduled for release in April of this year, will initially require a connection to an iPhone for most of its features to function.

The first iOS 8.2 beta release, made available last November, also included WatchKit, which allowed developers to build apps, glances, and notifications for the upcoming Apple Watch. This most recent beta contained an update to the WatchKit, containing a new set of tools for developers.

The official iOS 8.2 release is expected to come before the release of the Apple watch – some speculate late March or early April. With five beta versions already released, the 8.2 release is expected to show solid performance and be relatively bug-free. For more news on iOS 8.2 and the Apple Watch, keep tuned to iDropNews.
