Today’s the big day for iPhone fans. Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) kicks off in only a few hours, leading with the usual keynote address where the company’s executives will give us a preview of what’s coming in its latest software updates. This year, that will be iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, visionOS 27, watchOS 27, and tvOS 27 — although there’s always the possibility Apple may have some more surprises in store for us.

The headline of this year’s event is expected to be the coming of age of Siri, Apple’s longstanding — and long-criticized — voice assistant. By all accounts, the company has been hard at work on recovering from the aftermath of WWDC 2024, where it promised big Siri improvements that it failed to deliver on. After a massive organizational reshuffling of Siri’s leadership, the company signed a landmark deal in January to use Google’s AI models, and it’s finally ready to show us the fruits of those labors later today.

As has been the norm since 2020 shifted the world away from massive in-person gatherings, the WWDC 2026 keynote will once again be a virtual affair. While selected members of the media and developers will be showing up at Apple Park in person today, they’ll just be watching the same event that the rest of us will be viewing from our homes and offices — just on a much bigger screen.

How to Tune in for
Apple’s WWDC 2026 Keynote

The WWDC Keynote kicks off at 10 a.m. Pacific Time / 1 p.m. Eastern Time, and will be streamed through all the same channels as previous events.

Apple TV App

If you’re watching from an iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV, the fastest and easiest way to watch the WWDC keynote is via Apple’s own TV app. While Apple once had a standalone Events app, it rolled that into the TV app a few years ago, making that a one-stop shop for nearly all Apple-related video content, from movies and shows on the Apple TV streaming service to the company’s iPhone launch events and WWDC keynotes.

As of this morning, WWDC26 is prominently featured on the main page (the “Home” tab, not the “Apple TV” tab). Tapping on it right now will display a 15-second promo, but if past events are any indication it should go into a live preroll a few minutes before the keynote kicks off.

YouTube

You can also watch the WWDC Keynote Live on Apple’s official YouTube channel, which is one of the most universally accessible ways to tune in, as YouTube is available pretty much everywhere.

Apple also typically publishes the YouTube live video placeholder well in advance — it went live on the channel early last week — letting folks bookmark the page in advance or even set up a notification so you’ll be reminded when to tune in.

Apple’s Official Event and Developer Websites

If you’re not a fan of YouTube, you can still watch the keynote in your favorite browser by hitting up Apple’s Event website or Developer website for a live stream.

The actual keynote will be identical on both platforms, but Apple’s Developer site will also show the Platforms State of the Union at 1 p.m. Pacific Time for those who want a more in-depth look at new features and APIs for third-party app development.

Apple Developer App

The WWDC Keynote and Platforms State of the Union will also be streamed in Apple’s Developer app. While the streams are the same as those available elsewhere, this app serves as a central hub for all WWDC activities throughout the week, including access to sessions, labs, and more.

Check Back for All the Highlights

Of course, finding the time to watch an Apple event can be tricky during a busy workday. After all, we all have jobs. However, the good news is that here at iDrop News, watching and reporting on Apple events is our job. We’ll be covering all the highlights during and after the event, so if you miss the WWDC Keynote or want a recap of the key points, check back here for more news and other coverage later today and throughout the week as the rest of Apple’s WWDC workshops unfold.
