Apple has a presence in every major city, through one or more Apple retail stores. The stores are designed according to the iconic Apple design: sleek, subtle, glass staircase, wooden product displays, and an abundance of Geniuses mulling about the floor. However, there are a number of cities and countries that are still missing an Apple Store, and one of them will finally get their wish of a brand new one.

Rumor has it that the residents of the Miami, Florida region will be getting a brand new Apple store in the fall months of this year. Current Apple stores in Florida exist in Dadeland, Aventura, the Falls, and Lincoln Road, but this new store situated in the Greater Downtown Miami area will be the biggest in the entire state.

The new store is to be housed within the Brickell City Center, a brand-new shopping center being constructed in downtown Brickell. The 1 billion dollar+ shopping venue will accommodate 70+ stores and restaurants, including big names like Valentino, Chopard, Cinemax, and more. According to the plans, the building will be divided into “luxury”, “premium”, and “contemporary” brands by floor. Saks Fifth Avenue is set to be the centerpiece of the entire center, spanning three floors.

But this shopping center isn’t your average run-of-the-mill mall. Brickell City Center will feature three levels of retail stores, a movie theater on the fourth floor, and then a garden on the fifth floor. Plus, the entire open-air shopping center will use a Climate Ribbon instead of air conditioning in order to keep customers cool. All of this will be housed within a huge structure that is entirely eco-friendly.

Apple has yet to comment on the store, neither confirming nor denying the rumor, but according to 9to5Mac “sources close to The Real Deal and South Florida Business Journal have confirmed that Apple has signed a lease.” If this is true, and the site stays true to the September schedule, the new store may be open in time for the newest iPhone release in the fall of this year.
