Apple announced Monday that it would be giving away a pair of Beats wireless headphones to customers in select Asian markets in celebration of the Chinese New Year.

The 2017 Chinese New Year sale will see consumers in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore receiving a pair of Beats Solo3 with the purchase of select Mac and iPhone models. Specifically, those customers will receive the Product (RED) version of the headphones. Red symbolizes good fortune, luck and joy in various Asian cultures, and is an emblematic color during the New Year.

The devices included in the sale are the iMac, MacBook Pro — excluding late-2016, Touch Bar models — MacBook Air, Mac Pro, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus. Customers who purchase one of the aforementioned devices will receive credit for a pair of Solo3 headphones — redeemable online or at a brick-and-mortar store. The one-day sale starts at 8 a.m. on Friday, Jan 6.

This isn’t the first time that Apple has tried to attract customers in Asian markets via various promotions. In 2012, 2013 and 2014, Cupertino offered one-day “Red Friday” sales that gave moderate discounts on certain Apple products. Last year, Apple let consumers in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore buy a limited edition red version of the Apple Watch Sport, as well as a custom, artist-designed Beats Solo2 model celebrating the Year of the Monkey.

Beside the free Beats Solo3, Apple is also using its digital Chinese storefront to showcase a wide variety of red products and accessories to commemorate the Chinese New Year — including Watch bands, special edition iPhone cases, and a red-tinted Phantom 4 drone. Additionally, Apple is offering several Chinese New Year-themed sticker packs for iMessage.
