Apple came out with another update to iOS 8 as a way to resolve bugs and guarantee a smoother experience. iOS 8.1.3 is meant to fix programming glitches that prevents users from entering their Apple ID password for messages and FaceTime. Multitasking gestures from the Spotlight search have also been corrected with the current update.

Possibly the biggest improvement is that the new iOS update requires less free storage space on your hardware to perform an update. With the launch of iOS 8, users who didn’t have much free space had difficult updating due to the size of the software download itself. Previously, users need at least 5.7GB of free storage to install the latest version.

These updates should help address some of the more common complaints about iOS 8, which is great for a minor release. Reports from the App Store Distribution page show a slow adoption of the iOS 8 with only 69% of users as of last week. Hopefully with the smaller space requirement more people will decide to take the plunge into iOS 8.
