iOS users have had media streaming and screen mirroring available to them for quite some time now with AirPlay and an Apple TV. However, iOS users have been stuck with that combination for years, until now. Popular streaming app AllCast was recently added to the App Store, and it opens up a whole new set of streaming options for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

AllCast is a media streaming app that can stream photos, music, and video to your television. Incredible ease of use and compatibility has made it one of the most popular apps in the Android ecosystem for years. Developers brag that there is no setup necessary, and that it “just works like magic.” Users simply open the app, select the piece of media that they’d like to stream, and cast to the target media device. It really is an incredible app, although this being the first version for iOS, tends to be just a bit buggy (we noticed a bit of freezing and lag during testing).

AllCast is compatible with a number of devices, including Google’s Chromecast, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Roku, Chrome, select Smart TV’s, and more. Media from cloud storage services is available to stream, as well – the app is compatible with Dropbox, Google+, Google Drive, Instagram, and others.

AllCast is available free at the App Store. However, the free version contains ads, splash screens, and limits the length of streamed videos. For an ad-free, splash-free, and limit-free experience, the premium app is available for $4.99.
