Earlier this week, Apple announced three new games and several more updates coming to Apple Arcade next month, including an exclusive NFL-licensed game with a retro console look and a pocket-sized version of the classic Jeopardy! game show.

It’s already been an exciting year for Apple Arcade releases. While we’ve resigned ourselves to the idea that we’ll likely never see another epic game like Fantasian, there’s an ongoing collection of casual fun titles, both new and old, to enjoy, including some pretty high-quality entries.

For instance, Apple debuted PGA Tour Pro Golf in February, letting digital duffers play through the world’s most iconic golf courses, either on their own or competing in real-time against other opponents around the world. The best part is that Apple has been updating it with new content, and as is the norm for all Apple Arcade titles, there are no ads or in-app purchases to deal with. Everyone who subscribes gets every course at no additional charge.

The same can be said for NFL Retro Bowl ‘26, an NFL- and NFLPA-licensed game with authentic rosters and NFL players presented in an 8-bit look that should appeal to retro gamers.

Apple Arcade Sept 2025 NFL Retro Bowl 26

This year, NFL Retro Bowl ’26 introduces an exciting new mode, NFL Retro Bowl Championship Leaderboard, that brings players closer to real-world NFL action and the ultimate bragging rights. Players will choose their favorite teams and compete against each other by playing weekly matchups aligned with the 2025 NFL season games. They’ll use authentic rosters and earn points to contribute to their team’s live leaderboard standings — in a unique mix of arcade football gameplay and real NFL stakes.

While there’s been no shortage of Jeopardy titles on the App Store over the years, Apple Arcade’s new Jeopardy! Daily provides a more casual pick-up-and-play style where players can dive into game boards and unique modes, typing in questions in response to the answers using the iPhone keyboard.

Apple Arcade also shines in providing fun titles for younger players, and it helps that a single subscription is good for the whole family. Apple has partnered with LEGO to offer several titles, including LEGO Friends Heartlake Rush+ early this year, and it’s also adding more content to Hello Kitty Island Adventure next month.

Players will be transported to Wheatflour Wonderland, a whimsical world of waving grain, stained-glass castles, and mysterious ruins. There they will find a new character, Cogimyun, with an urgent request to help unlock the Ancient Citadel and uncover a great treasure. This exciting update is included for all Arcade subscribers at no additional cost.

There’s also a new game coming for kids, My Talking Tom Friends+, providing an age-appropriate “interactive life-sim experience” with the classic characters, Tom, Angela, Hank, Ginger, Ben, and Becca. “Players can access mini-games, care for their pets, and explore colorful surroundings,” Apple says.

Several other Apple Arcade titles are also getting more content in the September releases, including an all-new Inside Out realm in Disney Dreamlight Valley where players can work alongside Joy and Sadness at HQ, plus a Creative Mode for Mini Motorways to give players more control over map design, and a new collaboration with the hit game Among Us for Snake.io+ players.

Apple Arcade is available as a standalone subscription for $6.99 per month, providing access to over 200 games for a family of up to six people, with no ads, in-app purchases, or other hidden costs. It’s also part of all Apple One bundles, where it can be combined with an Apple Music individual subscription, Apple TV+, and 50 GB of iCloud+ storage for $19.95 per month, or an Apple Music family plan and 200 GB of storage for $25.95 per month.
