Apple will unveil its revamped MacBook Pro lineup today in the form of new 14-inch and 16-inch computers. We have told you that there will be some changes, that more ports will be added, and that the bezels will be smaller. They may also be getting a notch.

At first, I thought it was an absolute hoax and my sources, who are usually not wrong, also told me there would be no notch.

But @DuanRui1205, a Twitter persona that shares interesting Apple things found on Weibo, recently tweeted an image that looks like a MacBook Pro display with a notch.

I, of course, sent the image to the same sources who told me that a notch on this MacBook Pro would not happen, but they all told me that this looks like a legitimate screen and something Apple would make.

They added that it could likely be a prototype, as Apple tests dozens of different designs before releasing a final product to the public.

They could not confirm or deny if this particular design is the one that made it into mass production. They doubt it, but there is a possibility.

Personally, I wouldn’t care if a notch were on a computer. When the iPhone X first came out, people were upset about it, but the fact is that everyone has simply gotten used to it.

Anyway, it won’t be long before we see if the notch is coming or not – we’ll know for sure at 10 am.

Let me know in the comments if you’d like to see a notch on a MacBook Pro and why.
