There have been a lot of rumors about the third-generation iPhone SE as of late, and most rumors agree that Apple plans to release this smaller iPhone during the first quarter of 2022.

These rumors seem more believable now that a new report from ITHome suggests that Apple will begin a new trial production phase for the iPhone SE 3 very soon. Not only that, but the reports also say that several manufacturers are getting ready to ship iPhone SE 3 components as well.

Even though the iPhone SE 3 is supposed to come out next year, we’ve already heard many new rumors and leaks about what the new iPhone SE will look like.

Unfortunately, many rumors suggest the iPhone SE 3 won’t have any big design changes. Instead, many leakers, including Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, say that the new iPhone SE will look very similar to the current-generation iPhone SE, which already looks like the older iPhone 8.

If this is true, that means we should expect the 2022 iPhone SE to feature the same 4.7-inch Retina HD display, a single 12MP camera on the back, and a Home button with Touch ID at the front.

On the inside, rumors say the new iPhone SE will feature the A15 Bionic chip, which is the same processor Apple uses on the iPhone 13 lineup. Additionally, the iPhone SE’s said to feature 5G connectivity to make it more future-proof.

As we mentioned before, the third-generation iPhone SE is said to be released in the first quarter of 2022. So if Apple plans to repeat what it did with the current iPhone SE, we should expect the new iPhone to come out somewhere around April in 2022 and start at $399 for the 64GB model.

Other than next year’s iPhone SE, other rumors point out that Apple’s already working on another iPhone SE that’ll have a similar design to the iPhone XR with a bigger screen and better cameras. This rumored iPhone SE is set to be released in 2023 or later.
