Beyond the iPhone 18 Pro: Here’s What Else Apple May Launch Next Month

It’s almost that time of the year again. Even though Apple hasn’t really confirmed it, we’re all expecting the company to announce the September event any day now.
Apple’s September event is usually one of the biggest for the company. Not only do we see the best and newest iPhone yet, but we also get a glimpse at other products that are coming alongside it.
And while we already have a pretty good idea of what the main announcement is going to be (there’s a reason why it’s called the “iPhone event”), this year we might get a few other surprises thrown in.
We’re not just talking about the new Apple Watch; there are a few products that analysts and leakers believe we could see in the September event. And if they’re right, this will be one of the biggest events from Apple in years.
Of course, none of this is confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt, but these are the products Apple might launch during its September event.
iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max
This isn’t a surprise; Apple will launch a new iPhone 18 Pro lineup during its event, as it has for the past half-decade.
Apple is expected to keep the same general design introduced with the iPhone 17 Pro, so if you’re waiting for another dramatic design change, you may be disappointed.
From what we know, most of the changes appear to be happening inside the devices. Both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to use Apple’s new A20 Pro chip, which should use a 2-nanometer (2nm) manufacturing process. This change could potentially improve performance while also reducing power consumption, helping both iPhone Pros have better battery life overall.
Speaking of battery life, the iPhone 18 Pro Max might feature a larger battery this time around. Some rumors point out that Apple’s high-end phone might feature a thicker body to make room for a larger battery, which is something all Pro users have been asking for.
The biggest design change on the outside could come from the Dynamic Island, as many reports suggest that the company will shrink it by moving some of the Face ID hardware under the display.
The camera may be one of the more significant upgrades. Apple has reportedly been developing a variable aperture camera — though recent reports suggest this feature may end up exclusive to the larger Pro Max.
This change would let those models physically adjust the amount of light entering the lens. With this change, you could have more control of things like depth of field and lighting, regardless of outside lighting conditions.
What About the iPhone 18 and the iPhone Air?
In case you haven’t heard, many rumors suggest that we won’t see the entry-level iPhone 18 or the iPhone Air launch this year. Instead, Apple is said to change the release window for these iPhones, moving them to spring 2027, alongside the launch of the iPhone 18e.
The Foldable iPhone
Apple’s foldable iPhone is expected to be the biggest launch this year, as it would be the first time Apple taps into the market of foldable devices. The final name still isn’t certain. Although recent rumors suggest Apple may finally use the “iPhone Ultra” branding that’s been appearing in the rumor mill for years.
The device is expected to use a passport-style design. When closed, you’ll reportedly get an external display of around 5.5 inches. Opening the iPhone reveals an internal screen of roughly 7.8 inches, giving you something closer to an iPad mini. Design-wise, think of it as the newer Samsung Galaxy Fold 8, which is wider than it is tall.
According to rumors, the inner display shouldn’t have any visible crease, and despite the issues the company reportedly had in the past during development, the hinge should be strong and durable enough when the final product launches.
The foldable iPhone is expected to use an A20-series chip like the Pro models. Reports also say this device will have a two-lens camera system (Main and Ultra Wide) on the back, as well as two front-facing cameras — one on the inside and the other on the outside when the device is folded.
A big change compared to most modern iPhones is the lack of Face ID. Rumors say Apple will use Touch ID for this device, instead of an under-display Face ID system.
While on paper, this new foldable device has us excited, most of us will probably shy away from it because of one thing: the price.
Rumors have consistently placed the starting price at around $2,000 or higher. Some people put the most basic model with 256 GB of storage at around $2,300, which would make it the most expensive iPhone yet.
Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4
Like previous years, the Apple Watch Series 12 and the Apple Watch Ultra 4 should arrive alongside the new iPhones, although current reports suggest this will be a relatively small update.
The overall design is expected to remain similar to the Apple Watch Series 11 and the Apple Watch Ultra 3, respectively. On the inside, the processor should also feature a small upgrade, giving us more power and energy efficiency, while keeping everything relatively the same.
According to some rumors, Apple is also expected to introduce additional improvements to health and fitness tracking. However, we don’t know exactly what these changes will be, or if they’ll actually happen this year.
All in all, rumors suggest the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 will be minor iterative updates — so you might want to hold off unless you’re upgrading from an older model. We’ll surely get new bands and watch faces, but Apple will most likely focus on the Apple Watch’s current benefits instead of bringing something new to the table.
Will There Be One More Thing?
While we already expect Apple to focus on the iPhone and Apple Watch models during its event, some rumors suggest the company might have other devices ready to launch.
For starters, there’s the Apple TV 4K, which hasn’t had any meaningful update in years. Rumor has it Apple will upgrade its current chip, making the device capable of using Apple Intelligence and the newer, smarter Siri. Additionally, a new remote might also be in the works.
Additionally, Apple is said to be working on a new “Apple HomePad,” which would basically be an Apple HomePod with a screen, so it’s easier to control your smart home accessories. This product has supposedly been in the works for months, and we might finally get an announcement soon.
Last but not least, Apple might also show some love to the original HomePod and the HomePod mini. Rumor has it that a new generation of both products is in the works, and it might be ready to launch before the end of the year. While we don’t know exactly what these products might bring, we’re expecting a better chip to handle some form of AI, as well as some improvements to the design and body of both smart gadgets.
Apple’s September Event Could Be Huge
Apple’s September event already looks considerably different from the usual yearly iPhone launch, at least if the rumors are true.
Not only might we see a couple of surprise products, but we might even get the introduction of Apple’s first foldable iPhone, which would be a game-changer. Of course, take all of it with a grain of salt, as we don’t know what Apple will actually launch until the company announces it first. Still, there are plenty of reasons to get excited if you’re an Apple fan. We’re only a few weeks away from a possible announcement, so get ready, because it’s going to be a good one.
