Apple has sent out invitations for its September iPhone event, dubbed “Wonderlust.” The invites feature a blue, silver, and metallic Apple logo that a leaker says represents the available color options for the Cupertino firm’s upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max which are expected to be unveiled at the September 12 media event.

There have been plenty of rumors circulating about possible iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro color options. Multiple sources now expect Apple to offer the Pro model in silver, space black, deep blue, and a natural titanium shade while dropping the gold option, despite its popularity in China.

Now, leaker @URedditor (aka Unnownz21) has said on the “X” social network (formerly known as Twitter) that the Wonderlust event invitation includes the four upcoming iPhone 15 Pro colors. The logo’s gold-ish tint is said to allude to the new natural titanium color. Blue, black, and silver colors are also included in the logo.

Meanwhile, on Apple’s events page, the Apple logo is animated, including grains of sand that are blown around much like sand dunes in a high wind. The page also includes the “Wonderlust” text, which is also made up of the blue and gray colors mentioned above.

It’s a popular pastime before an Apple event for industry observers and Apple users to scan Apple’s invitations for hidden meanings and clues to what we may see at the event. This year’s “Wonderlust” event is no exception. While past event invitations have included clues as to what was shown at the events, the clues have not usually been apparent until the event is actually held.

AppleInsider has pointed out that while Apple traditionally provides specific guidelines to its artists as they create the event invitations, it does not provide specific information as to why it wants those details to be in the design. So, while it’s possible that the iPhone maker could indeed indicate the expected new iPhone colors, we won’t kjnow for certain until the Apple press event takes place on September 12.

There have also been rumors about possible colors for the iPhone 15, and a recent report claimed the low-end iPhone 15 models will be available in black, blue, yellow, pink, and green.

Monday tweets from well-known leakers @MajinBuOfficial and @URedditor said the lower-end iPhone 15 models will also be available with a light green finish. @MajinBuOfficial says the new color will be similar to the green finish used on the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 mini. The leaker added that it isn’t certain whether or not the color will be available at the launch of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, or if Apple will debut the new color option in the spring instead.

Other color possibilities for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, have been mentioned, and include black, blue, yellow, and pink color options. Apple also traditionally offers a (PRODUCT)RED color, the sales of which support The Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS and other serious diseases in developing countries.

Apple will hold its “Wonderlust” iPhone media event on Tuesday, September 12 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (1:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Noon Central Time. The event will be held in the Steve Jobs Theater, which is located on the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California.
