2015 Consumer Electronics Show, Lifeproof introduced the fre Power, a new case for the iPhone 6. While the company is famous for their rugged cases, their latest offering may be their most useful case yet.

Lifeproof bills itself as the “original four-proof device, designed for maximum protection against water, dirt, snow, and shocks (drops).”The fre Power lives up to their reputation – the case is waterproof up to 6.6 feet for one hour, protects against drops from up to 6.6 feet, and the enclosed system protects your phone from debris, dust, and other forms of moisture. The case is much slimmer and more low-profile than you would expect for such protection, and every feature of the iPhone is easily accessible and useable. Buttons are easy to operate, and even the Touch ID works without a hitch.

If the protection level alone isn’t enough to sell this case, the fre Power includes a 2,600mAH battery that will double your phone’s battery life. The battery includes technology that pauses charging when the iPhone battery is fully charged, optimizing the battery life available.

When the case debuted at the CES, Lifeproof didn’t specify a retail price. They did, however, state that it should be available by the second quarter of 2015.
