While the iPhone 7 is a fairly durable device, it really is no match for a hydraulic press.

The owners of YouTube page Hydraulic Press Channel recently posted a video of pressing the latest Cupertino smartphone in — of course — a hydraulic press. Quite obviously, the phone did not survive. But you can take comfort in the fact that your phone isn’t likely to end up in such a machine during your day-to-day use.

But while the iPhone 7 might crumble under the extreme pressures of a hydraulic press, that doesn’t mean that Apple’s new flagship isn’t durable.

According to TechSpot, the iPhone 7 performed very well during a number of bend, scratch and burn tests. In one video by popular smartphone testing channel JerryRigEverything, the iPhone’s screen began scratching at a level six mineral pick. That’s pretty standard for most smartphone screens nowadays. The iPhone 7 also survives a heavy amount of pressure during its bend test in JerryRigEverything’s video.

Cupertino’s black anodized aluminum on the phone’s back also holds up well to scratches from keys and other metal objects. And during a burn test, the iPhone 7’s screen lasted around 10 seconds in direct contact with a lighter’s flame before the pixels shut down. Interestingly enough, the pixels recovered extremely quickly after the test. In similar testing on Samsung AMOLED screens, a flame will destroy the pixels — which turn white and don’t recover.

But while the iPhone 7’s components might not be the most durable on the market, Apple always uses high-quality materials in its manufacturing. During the hydraulic press video, the iPhone 7’s battery doesn’t even catch fire — something that occurs with many other popular smartphones. At the very least, you won’t have to worry about your iPhone’s battery spontaneously combusting like the Note 7’s have.
