OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 beta was released to users in their public beta program today, featuring the highly-anticipated Photos app, as well as other features.

Users that had previously signed up for the public beta gained access to the new release today. 10.10.3 features the new, more diverse emojis and two-step Google authentication that we saw on the latest iOS beta release. The most exciting feature of the new OS, however, is clearly the inclusion of the Photos app. The Photos app, which will replace the iPhoto and Aperture apps, brings a streamlined, intuitive interface to users, as well as a host of new features. Browsing, sorting, and navigating your photos is efficient and convenient, as is integration with the iCloud Photo Library. The app also features some powerful, but easy to use editing features for tweaking your photos, and allows you to purchase prints in a variety of different sizes, as well as the ability to create a wide range of photo books.

OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 is certainly an exciting release for Mac users. Although an official release date hasn’t yet been posted, it is expected to be available to users within the next couple of months.
