Shopping for gifts can be a hassle, especially if you’re a couple of days away from a birthday and you have no idea what you’re going to buy. If you’re like me, you just never seem to pick out a gift early enough.

Some stores might not be open by the time you get around to shopping, or simply have no way of delivering the gift in time.

Fortunately for you (and me), we have the internet. While they don’t have the most gleaming reputation, digital gifts are still gifts, and much of the time, they are even better than regular old presents.

Even if you dislike digital gifts, they can get you out of an uncomfortable position. And so, here are the best last-minute digital gift ideas.

Gift Cards (Obviously)

Digital gift cards are always a great gift choice. Sure, they’re not as personal as other gifts. But, on the other hand, it’s always better to give a gift card than to give a present the other person won’t like.

Now, there are several places where you can buy digital gift cards from, but I personally recommend sites like PC Game Supply or Play-Asia. Their gift card selection is big and I’ve never had any problems with them. Even better yet, you can actually save money on gift cards by purchasing them at a discount through a service called Raise.

A Library of Micro-books

For casual readers, or people that don’t have much time to spend on a book, a subscription to 12min Micro-book Library might be a great gift for them. 12min gives you access to hundreds of books that you can read or listen to in about 12 minutes.

Every month they’ll release about 30 new titles, and if you don’t see the book you want to read, you can suggest it and the experts at 12min will take care of it. Whether they’re avid readers, or they want to improve their reading habits, the 12min Micro-book Library is a great gift.

Video Streaming Subscriptions

If you’re on the fence about giving something to read, maybe you’re more comfortable giving something to watch. Now, there are more streaming services than we can count, so giving a NetflixHuluAmazon Prime Video or Disney + subscription is an excellent addition to the other subscription services they already have.

Your Favorite Ebook

A book is one of the best presents you can give to someone. And if you don’t want to give a lifetime subscription to a series of micro-books, you can always gift an Ebook. Whether it’s a book to entertain, or for something new to learn, an Ebook combines knowledge and portability, making it a practical gift for people of all ages.

Spotify or an Apple Music Subscription

Music is universal, so giving away a subscription for one of the best music streaming services is something your loved ones will appreciate. So whether it’s a Spotify subscription or an Apple Music gift card, you can never go wrong with music.

To get a Spotify gift card, you’ll need to log in to your account and buy it there. For Apple Music users, you’ll have to give them an iTunes gift card so they can use it on their Apple Music account. The best part is, they can use it on other Apple services and in the iTunes and App Store. Learn more about the different types of Apple gift cards here.
