The Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is coming soon, during which Apple will be releasing quite a bit of new software. Although there are rumors that Apple will be unveiling a new line of “ultra-thin” 13 and 15-inch MacBooks, and possibly (but unlikely) the Apple Watch 2, the focus will likely be on updates to the Mac operating system, tvOS and watchOS updates, as well as the official release of iOS 10.

With the event coming up, it appears as if Apple is looking to ramp up beta testing with two new releases of iOS and OS X betas, possibly to ensure the new operating systems release without a hitch.

Just yesterday, Apple released the second iOS 9.3.2 beta for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch to developers, alongside the second OS X 10.11.5 – and less than 24 hours later, Apple released the same two betas to users in the public beta program. The new betas focus primarily on under-the-hood bug fixes and stability improvements, with no real interesting features of note added in. It’s likely that Apple is looking to increase the stability of the builds before the next generation operating systems are released in June.

WWDC is set to take place June 13th through June 17th at the Bell Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. The new Mac operating system, OS X 10.12, may introduce Siri for the Mac – otherwise, not much is known about the release. There is a rumor that Apple may look to re-brand the operating system as macOS, bringing the name in line with the rest of their product naming conventions. There aren’t a whole lot of details surrounding the tvOS or watchOS updates either, but iOS 10 is expected to allow users to hide pre-installed apps and introduce multi-user support and new Siri functionality.

The new iOS and OS X betas are available to developers through the official Developer Center. Users in the Public Beta program likely received notifications that the new updates are available.
