Fresh on the heels of its 2021 Apple Music Awards, Apple is kicking off a new “days of Christmas” style promotion that offers special “exclusive gifts” to subscribers.

Over the course of the next week, Apple will be offering up exclusive EPs, playlists, DJ mixes, and even a special radio show. Apple adds that it also has “a few treats so exciting that we don’t even want to tease you with them.”

The promo is called From Apple Music With Love and can be found from any modern web browser by signing in with your Apple ID or from the Browse section in the Music app on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV. We presume it will also similarly show up in the Apple Music app on supported third-party devices like Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Samsung and LG smart TVs.

It’s the holiday season, and at Apple Music we’re getting into the giving spirit. As we head into the most wonderful time of the year, we’re offering exclusive gifts for Apple Music users—just because we love you.

Apple is kicking things off today with an exclusive Coldplay EP, Infinity Station Sessions. The five-track EP revisits four key tracks from the group’s 2021 Music of the Spheres album along with their 2010 Christmas Lights — all recorded in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos.

On this exclusive holiday EP—recorded entirely in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos—the pop-rock superstars revel in highlights from their highly uplifting ninth album Music of the Spheres, as well as a moving rendition of their 2010 single “Christmas Lights.”

For a slight change of pace, today’s gift is Story for Sleep: A Peaceful Winter Night, a bedtime story narrated by “the silky-voiced legend” Nile Rodgers.

If you’re having trouble getting to sleep lately (you’re not alone), then we have the perfect nighttime remedy: a quiet, soothing bedtime story narrated by the silky-voiced legend Nile Rodgers himself. Snuggle up with the comforting sounds of winter: gentle breezes, crackling fires, and Nile’s own narration, all rendered in immersive Spatial Audio that wraps around you like a warm blanket.

Additional artists that will be featured over the next few days include Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Elton John, and DJ Khaled.

Who Gets the Promo?

The promotion is available to all Apple Music subscribers, but it appears that not all of the content will be exclusively available on Apple Music. For instance, the Infinity Station Sessions EP can also be purchased directly on iTunes for those who still prefer to buy their music outright.

This will likely apply to any additional “exclusive” EPs that come out as part of this seasonal offer. However, it’s fair to say that other content, such as playlists and the “special radio show,” will be limited to Apple Music subscribers. For instance, today’s Nile Rodgers album isn’t available on iTunes.

You’re also unlikely to see even the EPs available outside of Apple Music or iTunes any time in the near future. If you’re not an Apple Music subscriber, you can still get in on this promotion through one of several free trial offers available this season.

While Apple offers a three-month free trial of Apple Music for anybody who hasn’t signed up previously, there’s still a much better deal going on at Best Buy where you can get an additional three months — with no purchase necessary — effectively extending your free trial to a total of six months.

It’s unclear how long this Best Buy promo will last — it was originally announced on Black Friday — so if you’re interested, we’d recommend grabbing it right away. This deal actually provides a redemption code that you can use at any time, and the clock doesn’t start until you actually sign up for Apple Music, so you can get it now and save it for later. You can even give it away to someone else as a stocking-stuffer if you prefer since the code isn’t associated with your Apple ID.

Although the Best Buy promo is for new subscribers only, non-subscribers who have previously taken advantage of Apple’s standard three-month trial can use the Best Buy deal to sign up again and get another three months — providing they haven’t already redeemed a similar bonus offer in the past.
