LG’s G5 smartphone featured an innovative modular design that didn’t fare well on the actual market — but the company isn’t prepared to give up on its modular dreams quite yet.

Leaked renders of the smartphone company’s upcoming V20 — obtained by Android Authority — seem to show that the new phone will have a modular design, due to a button placement that resembles the G5’s, according to Engadget.

Further evidence of the V20’s modularity include a bottom lip which could be removable, allowing the phone to sport various accessories, much like the G5.

Of course, these are just leaks and speculations — and only time will tell if there is any validity to them.

Besides the alleged modular capability, the phone’s render also has another carryover from the G5: dual front-facing cameras. This could mean that the V20 will have both a standard and wide-angle camera setup when it ships, according to Android Police.

That’s a smart move for LG — while the G5’s modular design didn’t go over so well among consumers, its wide-angle camera capability was arguably one of its best features.

The V20 is also going to be the first phone that hits shelves with Android 7.0 Nougat pre-installed.

While specifications for the device haven’t been released, it’s probably safe to assume that it will be outfitted with a Snapdragon 820 or 821 chipset and 4GB of RAM, according to TheNextWeb.

?Android Authority’s sources also suggest that the phone will be 7.7mm thick, apart from the camera hump. The V20 is expected to be around the same height as the V10, but quite a bit narrower. It will probably feature a 5.6- or 5.7-inch Quad HD Display.

LG is expected to officially reveal the V20 on September 6 in San Francisco, and will likely release the phone later this fall.
