Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8 has become the most anticipated release in recent memory, far surpassing the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 7. This secretive device has garnered much attention, causing the demand for iPhone 8 leaks and insider information to reach an all-time high. At this point in time, there are a few bits of insider information that are all-but-confirmed: the iPhone 8 will feature Apple’s beastly A11 processor, wireless charging, a nearly edge-to-edge 5.8” OLED display, a vertical dual-lens camera system, and front facing cameras with 3D facial recognition capabilities.
Another piece of important information is the iPhone 8’s physical size, which has been rumored to be similar to Apple’s iPhone 7 since Ming-Chi Kuo’s original prediction in 2016. New reports have provided us with dummy models and cases to compare the iPhone 8’s size to the iPhone 7; both of which corroborated earlier reports that the iPhone 8 will be slightly larger than its predecessor. And now, freshly leaked insider information seems to confirm that the iPhone 8 will in-fact be larger than the iPhone 7 in every way.
Confirmation of iPhone 8 Dimensions
Today, leaked information obtained exclusively for iDrop News by Benjamin Geskin sheds more light on the iPhone 8’s size. Dimensions obtained by factory workers with intimate knowledge of Apple’s latest device have confirmed that the iPhone 8 will be larger than the iPhone 7 in every dimension including thickness. The iPhone 8’s actual dimensions come in at a much heftier 143.59 x 70.94 x 7.57 mm in comparison to the iPhone 7’s smaller chassis at 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm

Size Comparison: Samsung Galaxy S8 vs. iPhone 8 vs. Samsung Galaxy S8+
Based on the comparison image above, we can see that Apple’s iPhone 8 will be slightly smaller and more pocketable than Samsung’s Galaxy S8, while retaining the large, nearly edge-to-edge display that will be a major selling point for the upcoming device.
