From time to time, Apple’s otherwise vast and powerful internet services empire becomes the victim of outages — even despite the Cupertino-company’s progressive investment in new infrastructure. However, this week, in particular, the company has appeared to suffer an onslaught of internet services outages, affecting various protocols — such as iCloud and the Apple App Store, among others.

The Silicon Valley tech-giant initially reported the more recent issue on its system status webpage, though the company originally noted that only “some users” were beset by system issues — which were largely pertinent to the App Stores, iTunes in the Cloud, Apple TV, and the company’s Volume Purchasing Program. Shortly after the initial news of the issues broke, however, Apple updated the system status page, adding a plethora of additional iCloud and iCloud-related services to the list of malfunctioning services.

Strange as it may seem, Thursday’s widespread outages came to light just one day after several Apple Music users reported a similar issue when attempting to access their iCloud Music libraries. In that instance, some users trying to stream Apple Music tracks encountered the same, repetitive “Unable to connect to iCloud Music Library” in the process of trying to do just that. In extreme cases, a handful of users even reported that their entire music libraries appeared to just vanish into thin air. Yikes! Other common errors come to users with a message stating “The iTunes Store is unable to process purchases at this time. Please try again later.”

While Apple is currently investigating these issues, the company added to its report that an even greater number of affected users have begun experiencing issues with, well, pretty much every one of Apple’s internet services.

iCloud Sign In, Backup, Bookmarks & Tabs, Calendar, Contacts, Drive, Keychain, Notes, Reminders, Storage Upgrades, Web Apps, Documents in the Cloud, iMovie Theater, Back to My Mac, Find My Friends, Find My iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Mac, iPhone Calls to iPad and Mac, iWork for iCloud, Mac App Store, Mail Drop and Photos have since been added to the list.

According to a report from AppleInsider Friday morning, however, the majority of these looming issues appear to have since been rectified. But even still, several users — as of Friday morning — have indicated that they’re still encountering trouble.

For instance, some have reported this error when their iPhone or iPad attempts to update apps automatically — but ultimately fail to do so. Although, for what it’s worth, that could potentially be due to something simpler and unrelated — like a lack of sufficient storage space available on the handset but, of course, there’s always a quick fix for that.

And, for those who are still experiencing issues with their iCloud accounts, another potential solution could be to simply log out of iCloud on your iPhone or iPad, and then log back in — which would essentially reset the account, thereby getting everything back up and running smoothly.
