Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Revealed in Leaked Press Images

We may finally know exactly what the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will look like, thanks to a substantial leak that shows off the phone from basically all angles.
The leak appears to be a series of official press images depicting the upcoming Samsung phablet in a variety of colors and from basically all sides. The pictures were posted to Twitter by noted phone leaker Evan Blass, who has a great track record of disseminating accurate information about upcoming devices. You can view the tweets below.

The images appear to confirm several rumors about the upcoming Note 8, including the fact that it will sport a horizontally aligned dual-camera setup with 12-megapixel sensors and optical image stabilization like the iPhone 7 Plus. Also, it appears that the phablet will retain Samsung’s characteristic rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. When compared to the Galaxy S8 lineup, the Note 8 appears to have even smaller bezels — though not by much — that are a bit more squared-off. Compared to the Galaxy S8+’s 6.2-inch screen, the Note 8 is also rumored to have a slightly bigger 6.3-inch AMOLED display. You can compare the two phones below.

In addition to its massive display, the Galaxy Note 8 is largely expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, a 3,300 mAh battery, 6 gigabytes of RAM and 64 gigabytes of onboard storage. It’s also expected to feature wireless charging, a separate stylus, and will presumably run a version of Android Nougat 7.0.
True to Samsung’s long-standing tactic of trying to beat Apple to the punch, the Galaxy Note 8 is slated for an Aug. 23 launch — though recent reports suggest that, like the iPhone 8, the Samsung phablet might face a delayed shipping timeline. Of course, it remains to be seen whether the Note 8 will win back the brand loyalty that Samsung lost due to the fiery Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.
