There’s now an entirely new way for U.S.-based Apple customers to get the help they need with their beloved Apple products — faster and more conveniently than ever before.

Apple on Wednesday morning officially launched its all-new, standalone Apple Support app on the U.S.-based App Store. The application, as the name might suggest, is intended to provide customers with immediate assistance in the form of expert help with Apple hardware or software products. Additionally, customers can even schedule in-store appointments (if necessary) — all from the comfort and convenience of their iPhone or iPad.

The app boasts a myriad of additional features, as well, meant to help disgruntled customers get their products working optimally in the quickest, most non-invasive way possible — these include exclusive, in-app access to the company’s full catalog of online support documents, which are intended to address the most commonly reported user issues, as well as the ability to instantly chat with Apple service experts and view support histories.

Thanks in part to iCloud, Apple’s new support app intelligently knows which devices are associated with your Apple ID — a useful feature implemented to save you valuable time entering all of the information typically required when making an in-store Genius Bar appointment. In this way, not only will you be provided with the most accurate, device-specific support information, but should you ever need to schedule an in-store service appointment or speak directly to a support representative, the app knows ahead of time which of your devices is in need of support.

Apple Support previously launched in the Netherlands earlier last month, and Apple had planned to release the app in “other markets” — pending the company’s extensive user testing.

However, while the app is certainly welcomed in the U.S. market, particularly ahead of the oftentimes chaotic Holiday season, Apple Support won’t be launching in any new markets until a later date.
