Right on cue, Apple has once again quietly dropped the price of its MLS Season Pass to reflect that we’re now nearly a third of the way into the 2025 season, with Rivalry Week just around the corner.

However, unlike last year’s mid-season price drop, which came exactly one year ago today with 30% off the regular annual subscription, Apple is only advertising it as “25% off the 2025 season plan this year.” However, the new prices are the same as last year, so the math still works out to a 30% discount off the regular price. Notably, MLS lists it as 30% off.

In raw dollars, this means you can now pick up a pass for the rest of the 2025 MLS Season for only $69 instead of $99. If you subscribe to Apple TV+, you’ll pay $59 instead of the normal $79. This is where you’re only getting the 25%, as the discount means Apple TV+ subscribers now only get $10 off the regular price instead of the usual $20 discount.

The monthly rates haven’t changed, of course, as these latest discounts reflect the fact that you’re paying for only part of a full season. However, a month is still a month.

The regular MLS Season is set to conclude on October 18, 2025, with Decision Day. The dates for the playoffs have yet to be announced, but they typically run into early December and are included in the full MLS Season Pass. At $14.99 monthly ($12.99 for Apple TV+ subscribers), that makes the monthly subscription substantially pricier than a whole season pass at nearly any time of the year.

We haven’t technically reached the break-even point where a discount is necessary to make it more affordable than a monthly plan — that usually happens in June — but the new price is now low enough to entice anyone who plans to stick around for more than a couple of months to go for the full remainder of the season instead.

However, if Apple repeats the last two years, we’ll likely see another price drop when we hit the halfway mark in June. At that point, the full pass for the remainder of the season dropped to $49, although the monthly price remained unchanged.

Last September, it went one step further and gave away MLS Season Pass 2024 as a free perk for all Apple TV+ subscribers and reduced the price to $9.99 for everyone else. While we’ll likely see another price reduction in June, it’s harder to say if the September freebie will be repeated this year.

As with the past two years, MLS Season Pass offers live streaming and on-demand viewing of all Major League Soccer matches and playoffs, and it can be viewed through the TV app that’s available on all Apple devices and nearly every smart TV, set-top box, and game console — and now even on Android smartphones. Apple and MLS also added new perks for the 2025 season, including Sunday Night Soccer which presents a featured game of the week every Sunday evening with enhanced production and dedicated studio programming to spotlight and discuss the league’s most exciting matches.
