Apple Officially Releases New Watch Bands and iPhone Cases for Summer

Apple is getting into the summertime swing by adding some fresh new colors to its accessory lineup. Folks shopping for either an Apple Watch Sport Band or an iPhone 11 series silicone case have a modern palette of colors from which to choose. These new hues join other new colors introduced this year, including the rainbow-inspired Pride bands.

Apple Watch Sport Bands

Apple updates its Sport Band lineup for the summer with new colors that include Seafoam, Vitamin C, Linen Blue, and Coastal Grey.

Seafoam is a light green color, while Vitamin C is orange, and Linen blue is a deep blue. As its name implies, Coastal Grey is a subdued shade of grey.

The new bands are available in both 40 and 40mm sizes and can be purchase online right now for $49. You also will be able to find them in Apple Stores as they begin to re-open here in the United States.

iPhone 11 Series Silicone Cases

Apple didn’t just update its Apple Watch Sport Bands. The company also expanded the color options for its iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max cases.

Like its Apple Watch bands, the iPhone 11 cases are available in Seafoam, Vitamin C, and Linen Blue. There is no Coastal Gray option in silicone cases. Each case costs $39 and is available online now and soon in Apple Stores that are open for business.

Seasonal Changes

Apple typically updates its accessory colors seasonally. The company usually announces its new colors during a press event, bundling them with other announcements. This year, the COVID-19 outbreak has canceled all in-person press events. Apple’s next big event is WWDC 2020, which will start on June 22. Instead of the typical in-person conference, WWDC this year will be a digital-only online event.
