Apple Offers $50 off Apple Watch When Bought with iPhone

Good news for those that want an Apple Watch, and who also need a new iPhone, and who live in San Francisco or Boston. If you fit this criteria, Apple will give you $50 off the Apple Watch.

Apple has launched a rather interesting promotion, offering $50 off an Apple Watch when bought with a new iPhone in select locations in California and Massachusetts. The promotion will run from October 30 to November 15, so if you need to buy a plane ticket to San Francisco to save $50 on an Apple Watch, you better act quick.

The promotion is the first from Apple that isn’t tied to something like Back to School or Black Friday, and it’s made even more interesting considering the fact that it is available in a very limited number of stores. Not only that, but while this kind of promotion might be totally normal for many businesses, it’s almost unprecedented for Apple.

The discount has sparked a number of rumors suggesting that the Apple Watch may perhaps be in trouble when it comes to sales. This is fueled by the fact that Apple CFO Luca Maestri reported that the Apple Watch made $1 billion since it hit the market in April, which might seem like a lot, but isn’t so impressive considering the fact that analysts expected Apple to make $1.8 billion from the device.

This doesn’t, of course, mean that the Apple Watch is set to be replaced any time soon. Apple’s Fall event has come and gone without any mention of an Apple Watch 2, and it’s unlikely that the company will announce a successor at a random time during the year. Instead, it’s probably more that Apple is experimenting with different promotion techniques.

Apple’s promotions in the past also haven’t been for its most popular devices, with the Back to School promotions being between $50 and $100 in gift cards or for Beats headphones for $200, When it comes to Black Friday deals, the company has mostly stuck to gift cards, with the gift cards ranging from $25 to $150.

It’s important to note that the discount only applies to the Apple Watch and the Apple Watch Sport, meaning that users won’t be able to get a discount on the more expensive Apple Watch Edition and Apple Watch Hermès. The stores participating include six in the Bay Area, including the San Francisco Flagship, Burlingame, Chestnut Street, Corte Madera, Stonestown and Hillsdale. The other four are located in Boston, and include Boylston Street, Burlington, CambridgeSide, and Chestnut Hill.

Despite what some suggest about the Apple Watch being in trouble, the device has revolutionized the wearable industry. While smartwatches were once really only interesting for the tech-obsessed, they are now a fashion accessory that can be used by anyone. The device’s release was a little surprising for many considering the fact that until that point round smartwatches were considered to be far better-looking than square ones, and while that rule hasn’t necessarily changed, many consider the Apple Watch to be an exception.

The Apple Watch comes in three main versions, including the Apple Watch sport, the standard Apple Watch, and the Apple Watch Edition. At the last Apple event, the company also unveiled the Apple Watch Hermès, which is essentially a special (and rather expensive) version of the device that comes with a band made by Hermès. As far as specs go, the device features sensors like a heart rate sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope, as well as Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. Users can use the Apple Watch for things like accessing notifications and answering texts and phone calls without having to take their phone out of their pocket. Only time will tell if Apple intends to release the Apple Watch 2 in the near future, however it’s not clear if Apple will update the device incrementally or more drastically.
