Apple today unveiled its latest MacBook Air with an exclusive new unibody design and underlying architecture.

Whether you’re a PC user or a Mac owner, you’ll be tempted to snag Apple’s svelte laptop.

It’s faster, longer-lasting, and has a few key features that’ll entice existing owners to upgrade.

Beastly M2 Processor

The most significant upgrade in the new MacBook Air is undoubtedly the company’s M2 processor.

Faster than ever, the new M2 silicon sips power.

According to Apple, the M2 almost matches the performance of a 12-core PC laptop chip while using only one-quarter of the power.

Apple’s 2nd-generation 5nm technology powers the M2. The Cupertino company managed to add a whopping 20 billion transistors, which is 25 percent more transistors than the previous M1 chip.

The ?M2? also supports up to 24GB of RAM and offers eight cores with four performance and four efficiency cores.

The M2 chipset also boosts memory bandwidth by 50 percent, bringing it to a blazing 100GB/s.

In a nutshell, the M2 is faster on all levels.

MagSafe Connector

Say goodbye to the tight-fitting USB-C charger and say hello again to MagSafe. Apple has brought the highly-requested charger back to its MacBook Air lineup.

Like previous generations, the effortless MagSafe charger will release from the charger port when the power cable is tugged or snags on something.

Colorful Options

The MacBook Air’s sleek design gets some new color options beyond traditional Space Grey and Silver hues.

Users will be able to choose from new Starlight and Midnight colors.

Other Improvements

Other changes include a redesigned unibody that maintains the MacBook Air’s razor-thin chassis.

There’s also a 1080P front-facing camera that’ll stun your co-workers on Zoom with its clarity.

Last but not least is a brighter Liquid Retina display with a small, but sure-to-be-controversial notch.

Availability

The new MacBook Air will go on sale starting next month. Prices start at $1,199 for the base model.
