There’s no doubt that Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro Max specs place it at the top of the iPhone leader board, but the iPhone 13 Pro is so remarkably similar, making it not too far behind.

Of course, the iPhone 13 Pro costs less, starting at $999, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max starts at $1,099. This is the same starting price as the previous year’s Pro models. However, if you want to upgrade to 1TB of storage, it costs a whopping $1499 for the Pro and $1599 for the Pro Max. Still, only a difference of $100.

The iPhone 13 Pro is lighter and easier to hold. Its length and weight are 5.8 x 2.8 x 0.3 inches and 7.2 ounces compared to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which is 6.3 x 3.1 x 0.3 inches and 8.5 ounces. If you have small hands, you might want to reconsider purchasing the Pro Max model.

Due to the large size of the iPhone 13 Pro Max, it can hold more battery power and can last up to 28 hours. Meanwhile, the iPhone 13 Pro can only last up to 22 hours.

More Pro Than Ever Before

Because of how similar the two models are, it essentially all comes down to whether or not you want to pay $100 more for a slightly larger phone with a bit more battery because these phones share a lot of specs, making both of them the most Pro iPhones ever to exist.

“Our Pro lineup pushes the limits with our most advanced technologies for users who want the very best iPhone”

Apple CEO Tim Cook

Both the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max received major camera upgrades compared to previous models. The new telephoto camera has 3x optical zoom, a 6-element ultra-wide lens that lets in more light, and a wide camera with a 2.2x improvement in low light, Cinematic Mode, as well as ProRes and Dolby Vision video.

Another shared spec for the Pro Lineup is the ProMotion display, which adjusts from 10Hz to 120Hz, responding dynamically to the speed you’re scrolling.

If you decide to go Pro, the colors to choose from for both models are Graphite, Gold, Silver, or the brand new Sierra Blue.
