At first glance, you might think the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro are the same. After all, they look almost identical on the outside.

However, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Sure, at its core, almost all smartphones look the same. With that said, the iPhone 14 Pro lineup has a lot going on that sets it apart from the regular iPhone 14.

And if you’re an iPhone Pro user, it’s because you can find these five settings on your iPhone right now.

The New Dynamic Island

The Dynamic Island was by far the biggest change Apple introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro lineup. This pro-exclusive feature gets rid of the notch at the top of the screen and replaces it with what is basically an interactive widget.

With Dynamic Island, you’ll find new ways to use your iPhone without having to open any app. For instance, you can use it to check the song you’re listening to, start a timer, see your ongoing call, and much more.

Moreover, this feature will also make it easier to check notifications as soon as they pop up. You’ll get notifications for incoming calls when your AirPods get connected or when you have a low battery.

Sure, the name isn’t everyone’s favorite. But this is still a really cool feature and a great reason to choose an iPhone Pro over the regular model.

The Most Powerful Chip Yet

Last year, Apple started a trend of bringing its most powerful new A-series chips only to the iPhone Pro lineup, leaving the base models with the prior year’s silicon.

That, of course, is bad news for people with regular iPhone models, but if you have an iPhone Pro, you can rest assured that you have Apple’s latest and greatest chip.

For instance, if you have an iPhone 14 Pro, you’re rocking the newest A16 Bionic Chip, whereas the regular iPhone comes with the A15 Bionic that was the top-of-the-line in the 2021 iPhone 13 Pro.

Sure, you might not notice the difference at first, but if you come from an older iPhone, you’ll surely realize how powerful the A16 chip really is.

As you can expect, this chip performs better than last year’s processor and gives your iPhone an amazing battery life compared to other models. Not only that, but when it comes to performance, taking better pictures, and even video editing, the A16 Bionic chip is the best.

A ProMotion Display

Granted, this feature isn’t available on all previous iPhone Pro models, but you can rest assured that all upcoming models will make use of the ProMotion display.

In case you didn’t know, ProMotion is a feature that actively adjusts the refresh rate on your iPhone. So, for instance, if you’re browsing the web, your iPhone Pro will know this and change its display’s refresh rate to 120Hz for ultra-smooth scrolling. On the other hand, if you aren’t actively using it, your iPhone will change the refresh rate to 60Hz.

Basically, when you use your iPhone, you’ll notice smoother animations and transitions than when you have your iPhone in your pocket. This is a really useful feature that lets you both enjoy a smooth experience and save up some battery life when you really need it.

Always-On Display

You’ll only find an Always-On Display on the iPhone 14 Pro models, but we’ll surely see that trend continue with future iPhones Pro.

As you can probably guess by its name, the always-on display is a feature that keeps your screen on, even when your iPhone is locked.

This helps you check the time and see some information without having to raise your iPhone. It’ll also let you quickly access all the lock screen widgets you have available.

It might not seem like much, but many iPhone users have asked for this feature since Android phones started using it, and we’re sure Apple will only continue to improve it in the future.

The Best Cameras on Any iPhone

Even if the iPhone doesn’t get a huge upgrade every year, Apple always makes sure to improve the camera system, and the iPhone 14 Pro lineup wasn’t any different.

The biggest change with the Pro models is the 48MP main camera on the back. You’ll be able to use it to take crisp pictures filled with details. Not only that, but it also lets you take amazing ProRAW images without breaking a sweat.

Additionally, all the cameras on the back and the front got massive improvements in their performance, which means you can take higher-quality pictures even in low-light situations.

Speaking of the front-facing camera, it now also features autofocus and takes higher, more detailed pictures without you having to do much work.

Overall, thanks to the hardware and software changes, Apple managed to make one of, if not the best, cameras on any smartphone to date.

What a Great Time to Be a Pro User

The best part about having an iPhone Pro is all the features you won’t find anywhere else. You get to play around with Apple’s latest and greatest hardware and software, and you can rest assured that your iPhone will work for many years before you actually need to make an upgrade.
