If for whatever reason you want to stop using a Bluetooth device with your iPhone — such as a wireless headset or speaker, for example, but you’re unable to get up and physically turn the device off; thanks to advanced features in iOS 9, you can now easily disconnect the device from your iPhone.

This will not un-pair the device from you iPhone, but rather, simply disconnect it. In this fashion, you can stop using it now, but it will still be accessible and easy to link back up at a later time. You can go to Settings > Bluetooth, tap on the “i” character next to the device you want to disconnect from, and then select Disconnect.
