6 Apple Products That Might Still Launch in 2023

Whether it's new Macs, a brand new HomePod, and, of course, the announcement of the Apple Vision Pro — Apple's newest mixed-reality headset — Apple has already given us a lot of new products to talk about in 2023.
But that doesn't mean Apple is done yet. After all, we're still a few months away from the end of 2023, which means Apple still has lots of time to release a few more products in the coming months.
Some of these products are mere speculation, while others are pretty much confirmed, but read on for everything we might still see from Apple in 2023.
The iPhone 15 Lineup
It goes without saying at this point that Apple will launch a brand new iPhone lineup this year. In fact, Apple has already made the official announcement. The Wonderlust Apple event is being held next Tuesday, September 12 — and we couldn't be more excited.
Apple hasn't officially confirmed it, but we already know the company will unveil the iPhone 15 lineup.
If rumors are correct, this lineup will introduced a lot of big changes, including a new USB-C port, a titanium body, and a new Action Button, which will work like the one on the Apple Watch Ultra. We'll also likely see a new periscope lens on at least one of the iPhone cameras, which would let you take better pictures with a 6x optical zoom.
There's also the possibility that we'll see a new iPhone 15 Ultra model instead of — or even in addition to — the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Unfortunately, not everything is good news. Rumor has it that Apple might also increase its prices this year. You still have a couple weeks to save up some money, though, as the new iPhones won't likely land in stores until Friday, September 22nd.
Apple Watch Series 9
Alongside the new iPhone, Apple has made it a tradition to also launch a brand new Apple Watch, and this year won't be any different.
The company plans to announce the brand new Apple Watch Series 9 during the September event.
Unfortunately for Apple Watch fans, this year might be a really small update. We don't expect Apple to launch any new health features or a crazy new design, so don't get your hopes up.
We mostly expect Apple to make some changes to the performance of the Watch with a new S9 chip, alongside some battery improvements. This is likely because Apple is also working on a newer, high-end Apple Watch.
The Second-Generation Apple Watch Ultra
Apple took the world by storm last year when it decided to launch a high-end, more expensive Apple Watch — the Apple Watch Ultra.
Targeted at people who love extreme sports, this rugged Apple Watch offered better performance and a big upgrade in battery life. It also had an extra action button that you could customize.
Well, it seems this Watch was a success because Apple might actually launch an update as soon as this year. We haven't heard many rumors about this watch, so this one shouldn't be such a big upgrade.
We'll have to wait and see what Apple has in store for us, which will most likely be on September 12 as well.
A Brand New iMac Is Coming
Apple has already released a lot of new Macs this year. For instance, we finally saw the first-ever Apple Silicon Mac Pro, with its equally impressive price tag.
We also saw the newer MacBook Pro models and the Mac Studio got a more powerful M2 chip. But what about the iMac?
The iMac is Apple's only desktop computer that comes with a monitor so you can just plug in and start using it. Apple announced the first Apple Silicon iMac in 2021, and it seems the company is getting ready to announce an update.
According to Bloomberg, the new iMac will keep the same 24-inch display as the current model, and it seems even the colors will be the same.
The biggest change should come on the inside, as we expect Apple to upgrade the M1 chip we currently have to the more powerful M2 processor. Maybe we'll even see the M3 chip if we're lucky.
This new iMac is already far along in its development stage, and it seems we could see it before the end of 2023 if everything goes according to plan.
New iPads Might Be Coming in 2023
While it's still unclear if we'll see a new iPad in the last months of 2023, there's a small chance as Apple is said to be working on both a new iPad mini and an iPad Air.
The current iPad mini launched in 2021, so it would make sense for Apple to release an update this yaer. We're expecting to see the new A16 Bionic chip on the inside to make it even more powerful. Besides that, some rumors suggest we could also see Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
The iPad Air, which was updated in early 2022, could also see an update in 2023, although Apple may wait until 2024 for that one. The current iPad Air is rocking the powerful M1 chip, which is more than enough. But Apple will most likely use the M2 chip in the newer model.
Will Apple Launch New AirPods in 2023?
There have been just a few small rumors about some brand-new AirPods, so it's likely that Apple isn't focusing on them right now.
There's a good chance the AirPods Pro 2 will get a small refresh next week to add a USB-C charging case to the package, but the earbuds are expected to remain unchanged. There's also a chance we could see Apple unveil AirPods 4 next week to add USB-C charging and the H2 chip to support the new iOS 17 features.
While there haven't been many rumors about them, everyone also agrees that the AirPods Max could definitely use an update. Despite their premium price tag, the current AirPods Max will miss out on a lot of key iOS 17 features that are exclusive to the AirPods Pro 2, like Adaptive Transparency.
While there haven't been many rumors about them, we expect—and hope—to see the second-generation AirPods Max sooner rather than later.
Lastly, there have also been rumors about a pair of more affordable AirPods that people are calling the "AirPods Lite." Rumor has it that these AirPods will cost $99 and will be pretty much basic Bluetooth earbuds.
