Glimpse is a notification center widget that provides regularly updated previews of all of your favorite websites. This app is designed to display the webpages of your choosing in the “Today” view of the “Notification Center.”

The idea is that we will often refresh a webpage or website in order to check for updates. With Glimpse, if you put the page in widget form you can do it anywhere from the device. After you install Glimpse, you launch the app where you add the webpages you want to display. In the settings, you can customize the size of the preview as well as the time between refreshes.  You can then add the widget in the “Today” panel in the “Notification Center.”  You do this by pulling the “Notification Center” down, selecting the “Today” tab, and scrolling to the bottom of the screen and tapping on the “Edit” button.

Hit the green button next to Glimpse and the widget will be activated. Clicking on the webpage previewed will bring up two buttons:  one to refresh and to open in Safari. There are also arrow buttons on the bottom of the preview to allow you to scroll between pages added to the app.

Glimpse is currently available in the App Store for $2.99.
