Just yesterday, Apple began seeding the latest version of iOS, 8.2 Beta to developers for testing. Although this update won’t change the functionality of your phone much initially, the release points to exciting things in the future.

While there are a few small bug fixes included in the update (such as Siri support for Singapore English), the majority of the update focuses on compatibility with the upcoming Apple Watch. The update includes bug fixes for the Apple WatchKit, and the WatchKit SDK, which includes tools for developers to begin creating apps, Glances, and notifications for the Apple Watch.

The release is currently only available to Apple developers. Normal iPhone users will more than likely see the release at the beginning of 2015, as the release of the Apple Watch comes nearer.
