Apple’s new iMac Pro is slated to launch this month, but we’re still not sure exactly when it will drop. Since introducing the computer in June, Apple has remained fairly quiet about its release.

Of course, if you’ve Googled “iMac Pro release date” or have checked the device’s Wikipedia page recently, you might have a firmer idea in mind of its official launch date.

Reportedly, Googling the iMac Pro’s release date sometime in the last month or so may have resulted in a firm date: the 18th of December. Similarly, the Wikipedia page for the workstation-class desktop also lists its official launch date as Dec. 18. Social media users have reported the Dec. 18 date as far back as Nov. 11.

Overall, this date would make sense. It’s the week before Christmas, and would allow Apple an opportunity to ramp up its Mac computer sales through the end of the year and into 2018.
