Hi everyone. As some of you may know, I Tweeted yesterday that Apple’s September event was going to be pretty interesting: A lot of people were talking about new products like the AirPods Pro 2 or the new Mac Pro, but the reason for my Tweet wasn’t about any product, but about the event itself. If you want to know more about the products we’ll see at this event, I have already written an article about it, so check it out!

The reason for my Tweet is that over the course of this week, three separate sources have told me that the Cupertino-based company plans to hold the September event in an in-person format. I’ve been told that this isn’t a final decision and that many things can still go wrong, but right now the chances are greater for an in-person event than a digital one.

The decision still needs to be confirmed by a few people, but if nothing changes, we’ll have our first in-person event since 2019.

According to my sources, the decision will depend on how poorly COVID does in July and the first week of August. Personally, I’m looking forward to it. Don’t get me wrong, digital events are great, but there’s something about in-person events that makes them even more attractive to me. I think they’re more human in some ways.

There’s another good thing about these events: Apple tends to announce more products during them, and that makes perfect sense. Apple can’t hold three in-person events in three months because it would be too expensive for journalists to travel to Cupertino once a month to cover them. So instead, the company unveils all of these products at one big event in September. If we have an in-person event this year, we’re sure to see a lot more products than if it’s prerecorded.

I think this is going to be one of the best Apple events in recent years, with a completely redesigned iPhone 14 Pro, new iPads, etc. If Apple holds it in a face-to-face format, we should see other products like the Mac Pro, a new Mac mini, AirPods Pro 2, and more. Let’s hope for the best.

I should be able to confirm if the event will be digital or in person at some point in August, so stay tuned.

Let me know in the comments below what you think about this and if you prefer virtual or in-person events. I hope you found this article helpful. As always, have a fantastic day.
