Many of you have asked me whether or not I recommend the MagSafe Wallet, after I mentioned a while back that I bought one for myself. I’ll cut right to the chase – I don’t think it’s worth the $59 MSRP Apple is charging.

I had the wallet for a few months, but I returned it because it was completely ruined.

I took the following photo to send to Apple when I returned it. See for yourselves below how worn out the wallet is after only two months.

I don’t think this is acceptable.

Maybe it was just my unit, I don’t know, but as you can understand, I can’t recommend this product to anyone because my experience was terrible.

You also asked how strong the magnets are, and I don’t have good news for you. They aren’t. I used the wallet with my leather case, and it looked fine – but when I tried to use it without a case, it kept falling off and remaining in my pocket after I picked up my iPhone.

Sometimes the wallet even fell on the floor, which could’ve resulted in losing my ID and credit card. So, I recommend you try other options that are much cheaper and have better reviews – like this one, for example.
