Apple is a company that has consistently prided itself on delivering one of the best, most comprehensive customer service experiences you can get. However, as one French customer is learning the hard way — sometimes we don’t always get what we want when trying to resolve an issue at one of the Cupertino-company’s many retail storefronts.

Adorned with a pair of Apple’s EarPods in his ears, as well as a two-and-a-half pound, solid steel pétanque (French bowling game) ball in his hand, an extremely disgruntled customer, who was trying to get a refund for his broken, albeit still under warranty, iPhone, went on a truly epic rampage at the Dijon, France Apple Store this week.

The customer, whose name was not disclosed by French authorities, during his astonishing, 10-minute rage-driven fit, smashed a total of 12 iPhones, 4 iMac displays, and a MacBook Air that were all on display at the retail location. Surprising as it may seem, the entire ordeal was even caught on video, which was uploaded to the internet by Twitter user @Quentin_iOS.

Check it out for yourself below! It’s actually quite astonishing, to say the least; although, for the die-hard Apple fanatics among us, like myself, I’m sure it’s bound to fluff your feathers a bit — just a heads up.

[UPDATE] It appears the video has been taken down.

“Apple is a company that ‘violated’ European consumers’ rights,” the customer shouted, as he walked about the store pulverizing products, according to another shopper. “They refused to reimburse me, I told them: ‘Give me my money back’. They said no. So you know what’s happening? This is happening!”

Yikes.. Apparently the customer, who appears to be in his early to mid-thirties, was trying to return his iPhone — as per the terms of Apple’s EU-based return policy. However, given the extent of time that had elapsed since he first bought the phone, Apple employees deemed that he was ineligible for a cash refund.

Fortunately, mall security was ultimately able to catch up with the man as he attempted to flee the scene, prior to French authorities taking him into custody. It’s unknown whether he will face any jail time in light of this hissy-fit fiasco, however French authorities noted that, at the least, the man will be liable for “tens of thousands” [of Euros] in damages.

I wish I could say there’s a moral to this story, but I’m sort of at a loss for words, myself.. Let’s all just say a little prayer for this lunatic’s sanity, shall we? And how about all of those poor iPhones, too, while we’re at it?
